Here at Pamoose, our goal is to provide sustainable income for pottery artisans around the world while creating unique and beautiful products for your home.
By working with global artists, we preserve ceramic artwork that’s been around for centuries while also supporting independent artisans. The majority of our artisans are women. Through our partnership they can provide themselves self-sustainability and a better future for them and their families.
We are a Massachusetts based start up company and we operate through our warehouse in Mendon, Massachusetts. This allows us to pay our taxes in the US and create employment within our local community.
Our master artists start by drawing product sketches. The pattern to be painted on the items is also made by collaborative work and is unique.
Most of our items are shaped by potters on the pottery wheel using only their hands. Plates and wall clocks are hand pressed. Other items such as mugs and sound amplifiers are molded with specially crafted molds. These processes make each item unique.
Our talented paint artists paint the patterns on the items only with their brushes, without using any transfer method. This process creates an heirloom product that can be used for generations after it is fired in special ovens with a temperature above 1900°F.
Both the raw materials of the ceramic that make up the items and the dyes that give the colors of the patterns consist of natural materials. It does not contain toxic substances. It is safe for the health of you and your loved ones.
We complete the entire process from raw materials to products with environmentally friendly and sustainable methods. We are responsible for presenting clay, which is nature’s gift to us, without harming nature.
Each work is designed by skillful artisans located in both in Kütahya, Turkey and Mendon, Massachusetts. We are dedicated to supporting women artisans and helping to preserve this ancient form of art.
I love pottery and I love pretty things that look natural. I ordered a special plate for my new law oddice and I recommend the shop to everyone.

There is so much to say about these lamps. It’s not just a random lamp. It really helped decorate our living room. You can feel that it gives you peace and harmony.

“Highly recommend giving one of their items as a gift! I gave my sister two Christmas ornaments and she is in love with them. A great way to have heirloom ornaments in a family that can be handed down to younger generations.”

common questions
There are many reasons to buy handmade ceramic items. Perhaps you appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into making a high-quality product, such as table lamps, plates and jars. Maybe you like the idea of supporting a local artist or small business. Or maybe you simply prefer the unique style and character of a handmade item over a mass-produced one. Whatever your reasons, a handmade ceramic object is sure to add a touch of beauty and personality to your living space.
Our ceramic products are non-toxic and do not absorb flavors or odors. All our items are food safe and can be used for many different occasions.
We do not recommend placing them in a dishwasher, oven or a microwave. Most of our products have small intricate works of art which may get damaged in such circumstances.
Currently, all our items are made in Kutahya, Turkey by experienced artisans. Our head craftswoman is Emine Hanim and main chief thrower is Sener Usta, both are locals of Kutahya. The two combined have more than 50 years of experience combined.
Each ceramic piece gets glazed before being fired at almost 2000 F degrees. During this process, the applied glaze turns into an extremely thin layer of glass. This thin outer a-layer may have thin cracks and tiny pinpoint dents due to the micro level air bubbles in the clay or particles on the glazed surface.
We work on uneven surfaces, most of the time including curves or embosses. These types of circumstances may cause imperfections that are sought after proofs of genuine handmade work.
Unfortunately, we do not have a physical store, yet! We will update our website as we partner with home decor stores to carry our product line. If you are an interior designer or a wholesale buyer, please contact us to have a tour of our warehouse.
Yes we do have a special discount for bulk orders and different pricing for wholesale orders. Please do not hesitate to reach us for special orders.
All our items are handcrafted from scratch. This means that the items may not be at the machine made perfection, but are instead made to be unique and special. These items often have a more personal touch than items that are mass–produced. This means there might be small paint smudges, half an inch size differentiations, shade variations and glaze cracks.
